Black Boulder is an object that re-designs the outdoor spaces as living and useful places. Its dark shape, a sequence of irregular DuPont Corian Nocturne faces, conceived as a vaguely expressionist sign, artificially reproduces the world of mountains and free-climbing. Its dark, glossy and smooth surface creates a continuum between a traditional indoor space and the outer world. This big and dark “stone”, over eight meters long and two high, can be freely used as climbing tool, as a bench, as an intimate chaise-longue, or as an indoor or outdoor partition.
