Apta – in Latin “adaptable” – is conceived to integrate and to adapt the bench to the context in which it is inserted. Its steel base, initially empty, “must be” filled with ever-changing materials or objects, to relate the bench to the specific context in which it is placed.
The furnishing object thus becomes a “site specific” work directly interfaced to the space in which it is used.
