Alberto Rosselli met Sergio Saporiti in 1965 and, from that moment they started a ten-year collaboration that transformed Saporiti Italia forever, not only for the innovative objects Rosselli designed for Saporiti, but above all thanks to the profound tension towards research and modernity he introduced into the company\u2019s DNA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alberto Rosselli and Sergio Saporiti immediately focused on materials and technologies that were not typical of the furnishing sector at that time, helped by the location of Saporiti in Besnate, in the province of Varese, at the centre of the Italian aeronautical industry cluster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally Rosselli infused in Saporiti Italia\u2019s DNA the capacity to develop customized solutions, particularly with its researches on modular environments, such as the \u201cCasa Mobile\u201d shown at MoMA in NY and the \u201c6 sqmt Apartment\u201d shown at Eurodomus in Turin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. Rosselli designed for Saporiti Italia a long series of iconic products, starting from \u201cJumbo\u201d a small and original plastic chair that generated a \u201cfamily\u201d of derivates including its \u201cnegative\u201d (Play), its extra large version (Maxi Jumbo), a gigantic chaise longue (Moby Dick) and many others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to this, Mr. Rosselli deeply influenced the researches by Saporiti Italia on efficient industrial manufacturing, designing for the company a series of very rational and modular pieces, such as the Confidential, the Dune and the Flower sofa sets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
